London Paddington: the Bear

London Paddington Station, which is a train station, is also the home of Paddington the bear. A fictional character who has recently reappeared in the public imagination in some fantastically fun movies.

He’s quite popular as a spot to rest and consider your next move. If you want to find him he’s underneath the big clock beside platform one.

 For years I have been saying to Christopher that bag is wanted on the voyage. He told me he figured that was just some thing I said. My answer was of course I said because that was what Paddington‘s label on his luggage said.

You just cannot assume that your cultural touchstones are someone else’s cultural touchstones.
