Fur Coat Cushion

I have a love for natural fibres which extends to real fur. In the back of the closet I had a coat which was always a little tight across the shoulders. One day last winter I reached out to close the truck door and split the under arms and one shoulder seam. I was really unhappy about it as I've always hated the truck and now it had ruined my fur coat.  That coat sat lurking in the back of the closet weighing on my mind and the coat rail for some time, then I just decided something had to be done.

Linen and Lace

I was gifted a beautiful piece of lace last summer by a neighbour holding a yard sale. The only condition on the gift was that I had to use it. It had been in her stash for decades. It was tatted lace made by her grandmother. A lovely ivory lace crisp and wonderful. I thought about it for a few months considering a dress or top but then I thought about the French linen and our need for drapes in the 'library'. ...
 
 

Yukon River Ice

When I was a kid growing up in Nova Scotia winter I've in all its forms was a big part of my life. From the little puddles to the ice on the inlet to the ice Ickes on the eves and the frost forests on the windows. On my lunch hour walks I've been watching the river ice.
