Olds Gardens

Got my phone back

A good Samaritan saw my phone dropped out of a binner's cart, picked it up and tried to pursue the bonner to give the phone back to him only to discover that it said it was lost and to call a number. He called and Christopher was able to pick up the phone from him. He wouldn't except a reward.

I'm still done with Calgary.

Hello Calgary? We're finished.

I've tried so hard to like Calgary. Over the years I've given it lots of chances, short and long trips, different times of year; but this is it. We're done. I've had it. I was pick pocketed on Stephen Ave. walk and lost my cell phone.

Now, it isn't as tragic as it might be for some of you, I only recently got it and can still live without it, but really.

Enough is enough. The food scene is grim at best, they don't respect their own local beers (heard of Big Rock anyone? neither had the last two bars I was in, brewing beer in Calgary since 1985) and it has no public transit to speak of.

Calgary, we are done, finished, over.

Pedestrian friendly Calgary

I try so hard to like Calgary but every time I'm here I'm completely put off by the lack of accessible pedestrian infrastructure and the insane number of cars.

A rocky adventure

I'm visiting my sister and her family in Alberta. We had a fun little adventure and then the skies opened and it rained and poured.
