Wildflowers

I Love my Clothesline!

I don’t know why everybody doesn’t have a clothesline. I really enjoy the ritual of hanging out the laundry particularly on warm sunny days. It’s also fun, and a bit transgressive to air your clean laundry, including your under things in such a public way. I’ve never understood why anyone would want to air their dirty laundry…

More Gardening

I always forget to do the before and after shots. As I did again this time. You’ll just have to imagine what it looked like before.

Oster Yardsale Score

A few years ago when our then “new“ blender died I was adamant that I wasn’t going to purchase another new blender that I was going to get an old oster blender, and I did. The only problem with it was that it had a plastic Karesh for blending. Plastic isn’t great for whole bunch of reasons, some environmental and some about kitchen chemistry. So for the last three years my yard sale mission has been to find a glass carafe for the blender. One of the things I love about the Owster blender is that for decades the drive mechanism was The same. So you can buy a 20-year-old blender and a 30-year-old grave and they still fit together. Today I found the glass carafe. Even better it was in the free pile!

Taking a Break

The sun is shining which is enough of an excuse to step away from my desk.
