Wheeler Street Front Garden

A few years back Chris built a raised bed here in the front yard. We’ve decided to put some perennial berry bushes in because they will mostly care for themselves and give us berries!

It’s been hectic being back. I’m so glad I wasn’t trying to work at the same time as sort out this little house. Last November we ordered the sofa and it arrived 3 weeks ago. EQ3 had a long delay because it is a custom colour and fabric - blue wool. 

Hemnes Happened!

Down to the wire today getting the IKEA bed constructed for the suite. It looks great.

Our first bloom! It’s a Haku Ookan group 2 clematis. 

Hornbeam Hedge #2

This is our second hornbeam hedge. For the second hedge we chose smaller tree seedlings for the price! We hope with the good treatment they will soon take off and perform well. 

You really can’t see them in the photo. 

There’s other trees in our orchard that are coming into leaf. 

It was a good day! 

NS Clams for Lunch

On our way back from Bridgetown in the 201 we saw a sign for fresh clams! Sadly a bit gritty, but if you didn’t eat the necks, delicious.

Walking the dog this morning at a dawdle pace I saw So many blooms!

The Dog’s Oak Tree

This tree does also contain the dog’s nemesis - a red squirrel. 

And the roots are a great pillow. 

Removals

The deck got taken away today!

It’s gone to a new home to be used as a deck.

Our side deck will be replaced by a granite stone patio this year.  I'm happy to report that I was able to sell our deck on marketplace... and I did not have to do the work to take it apart.
