Kew Gardens The Temperate Glasshouse

I had to prioritize my time at Kew, 4 hours was not enough to see it all. I got through about half I think. 


This is the temperate glasshouse, formerly the largest in the world, and still the largest Victorian glasshouse. The upper wall allows you to look down on the glorious tree ferns. They were a highlight for many visitors. 



There’s no sense of scale in this picture, that frond is as large as my arm. 

The white iron work is so Victorian!
