Top tip: wear comfy shoes!!! I’ve walked, and walked, and walked and… you get the picture. One is instructed to arrive 3 hours before you flight, so I didn’t. The gate isn’t announced until 1.5 hours before. This must be a huge lift to all the businesses crowded around the hub of the security gate here at Heathrow. I’ve already dawdled through all the shops. So,
I assumed that AC flights would depart from the same wing as their branded lounge. Nope. That burned off half an hour in walking. I can’t say that I love, or even like this airport.
But at least you don’t have to walk through the duty free to get to your gate like you do in Vancouver.
