Tatshenshini Alsek Park/ Haines Pass

We thought a hike out in the pass would be nice in this lovely weather. Our original plan was sidelined when we saw the crowd (7) of vehicles at the trail head. We decided to try something new and Chris spotted a road leading off the back of the world’s most picturesque gravel pit.

We turned around at a creek that would have required a bit of wading. But the walk at the light and the mountains were simply breathtaking.

The creek that we didn’t ford. The bridge had washed out some time ago.

The remains of the culvert

There’s a lake back there that we didn’t ge to. Another day.

Driving back the scenery and colours were just stunning.

No cheating! Those really were the colours!
