More Western Giant Puffball

Today on my lunch hour walk I found another lovely huge mushroom. I wish I’d taken a photo that showed the angle of the hill and how hard it was to get to. 


You can get a sense of scale fro the juniper berries I the same frame. 
Here’s what they look like after they’ve gone to spore so to speak. 


It really is that big. I thought it would fit in the yogurt container - not so much.

And it was absolutely delicious breaded and fried as an appetizer at dinner. No pics because it was we just devoured it. Opened some eyes to how delicious wild mushrooms could be.
