Galleria dArte Moderne

We have discovered after much trial and error that we are ‘modern’ art people. That being art after around 1850. So despite getting no stones in the lonely planet guide, I navigated Christopher towards Palermo’s modern art museum.   And I think we’re both glad that I did.
We had a discussion about light, dark, and photo realism.

There is something about the paint brush than is more real than the camera lense.

The above is an aide memoir for Ortigia.

The farmer and his family.

Every staircase in Italy.

Those are stone faces.

Do you see the olive pickers? Think of the tree as a giant not a bush.

Who is she looking at?

You? Me?
