Blue Yarn

I washed, carded and spun an entire Canadian Shetland fleece and decided it needed to be indigo blue. Today I scoured and started the dyeing.

Nope, not blue yet! That will continue tomorrow. Natural dyeing is a long process!
That’s it blue.

Then I dug out some pale grey Canadian Shetland and got it scoured and dyed. Along with one skein of wool from the Orkney dead weed eating sheep.

The colour difference is substantial and very interesting.
