After quite a bit of research we discovered that there’s only two or three woodburning stoves that will fit into the existing fireplace opening. After much marital discussion we selected one. A store in the valley had one in stock so after we finished at the dump and had an empty trailer we drove out to Aylesford to pick it up. The store had the most glorious display of woodburning stoves. We found the one that we wanted if money was a non-issue. It costs around $12,000 and that doesn’t include the installation chimney and masonry work.
And then we found the one that would fit and we could sort of afford. And that’s the one that came home with us.
It is our second Morso stove, our first is in our little shack outback in Whitehorse.
