These are my third edition of this mitten. The first ones have worn out. I’ve darned them three times and they are pretty far gone. So, I spun the last of my Portland breed wool from our 2015 trip to England. I dyed one skein with indigo and knitted these mitts.
It took a couple months to finish them, even though it was the third time I’ve knitted this pattern. It takes a lot of focus to follow the repeats.
And the thumbs are a bitch!
There is probably another way to do the thumbs that I just haven’t figured out.
