Christmas Tree Hunt

We all love the smell of a sub-Alpine Fir - it smells like the essential oil of balsam (essentially the same tree). Getting one requires a bit of a trek, because you need to get high enough to be in their growth habitat, the sub-alpine. We trucked our way out past Carcross along the highway looking to spot likely trees. We found a great patch near the BC border. We weren't the first to harvest there, a couple trees had been topped before, growing a second lovely Christmas tree.
 The intrepid hunters return!
