Wooly Work

I took the opportunity of a three day weekend to do some wool processing. I’ve had this lovely gray fleece in my stash for over three years now and I spun some of it recently - much to my delight it makes a fabulous yarm.
I did a small experiment which was using my triple picker to do the majority of the picking and hand picking a small portion. It’s true what I’ve read the triple picker on a fine wool will create news - Little broken pieces that look like wool ‘pills’. Oh well. I’m sure the Urine will still be lovely.

Wool neps.

No wool neps in the hand picked fluff.

Last weeks spinning.
