Etch-a-sketch Weather

​I remember having a lot of fun with my etch a sketch as a kid. Making a drawing and then shaking it so that you’d have another blank slate to draw on. There’s something about that physical memory that keeps coming back to me every time I check the weather forecast and it’s still below -25. I shake my phone as if that will somehow change the reality of this never-ending freezing cold winter.

Pom-poms bedazzled world

I feel like a pom-pom is the bedazzle of the fibre world. I had a lot of fun yesterday afternoon making a lot of. Pom-poms and I’ve sewed them on a lot of things.​

Arctic winter games finale

The games wrapped up this afternoon with the street party downtown. It warmed up to a balmy -14°C so I got all my winter gear on and went out to enjoy it briefly.  ​
