Dr. Sun Yet Sen Classical Chinese Garden
We had a lovely rainy morning visit to this garden. Other than the very informative docent we had the whole garden to ourselves for almost an hour.
The docent did a wonderful bit of tutelage about yin and yang the - duality of all things.

Jasper
They have the sweetest little community garden.
It was early when we arrived, as we sat in a bench the sun came up and the birds started twittering. We departed into an overcast morning sliding along grey tracks bounded by snowy trees.

This Morning, Saskatchewan
We woke in the dark to the rolling fields of Saskatchewan. Now we are in the true flatlands with only the sky for company.
It’s pretty cold, between the cars there’s hoar frost.

Winterpeg
we had a station stop in Winnipeg and were able to leave the train and walk around for an hour. Folks on the train recommended a visit to the Forks. It was a great recommend.
There’s a skating trail and a walking trail. It was wonderful seeing so many new skaters, and many look like new Canadians.
Ontario the Endless
boreal forest looks pretty much the same everywhere in Canada. We could be anywhere from Brunswick Alberta to the southern northwest territories. I just happen to know that we are still in Ontario.
At the morning fresh air break in Armstrong Ontario, there was the most adorable malamute. For pets and dog treats from everybody. He would’ve happily gotten on the train as well.
Sioux Lookout
A quick station stop in nowhere Ville Ontario. Even their northern store is closed. But the gas station was open so we got some more gravol for poor Christopher.
I think a whole truckload of diesel went in
That is the very swanky Park car where the first class passengers hangout - because it’s the off-season us second class passengers are allowed in there as well - last night there were Americans in there, throwing dice for money, real money that would be US money!
