Hearth Work

Darrell has begun work on framing in the dining room for the brick hearth. This involves cutting down the joists then employing creative framing to re-inforce and support the joists from below. the result will be Sarah's beautiful brick hearth that is even or close to even with the wide plank wood floors. Our Mason Ted Gillis has generously offered to 'fit our work in'. Scapa is easily the most curious dog we've had so far... she is always trying to figure out what is going on and is intensely curious about her 'Uncle Darrell's work.
