Shetland: Saint Ninian’s Isle

It was glorious and sunny so we decided to go to St Ninian’s Isle. The weather held for a few gorgeous hours.

I swam! That little dot is me.

It was cold and refreshing.

The isle was home to monks whose chapel was sacked by Vikings. In the middle of the last century a school boy found some artefacts that are in the local museum.

These are just a few of the artefacts.

It is beautiful. I’d have a house there too.
