This little isle is reached only when the tide is out. My timing wasn’t great, I got there and had to turn right around because of the advancing tide. Still, a nice day out.
The concrete barriers were apparently installed during the Second World War to stop any torpedoes or other underwater munitions from targeting Edinburgh.
