As part of my ongoing commitment to my New Year’s resolution this week I made borscht. I’ve never made borscht before perhaps in part because Christopher‘s maternal grandmother made Ukrainian classics like the native she was. I leaned on a friend for a recipe and voila, borscht. This particular recipe made a blended borsch not the style that either Christopher or I were familiar with. After lashings of sour cream and liberal sprinklings of sausage it was OK. If I was to make it again I think I would make a difference style.
