Parco delle Madonie - Gangi to Geraci Siculo

Of the many times we have been to Sicily, we have yet to really adventure into the centre of the island. With this trip I wanted to change that. I arranged for us to have a self-guided walking tour with a company called Sicilian experience, which I found recommended in the lonely planet. After an early start from our seaside town of Balestrate, we whizzed along the motorway in our sketchy Sicilian rental car as far as random turn off for the SS 286. From there we round our way through the Madonie park to an agritourismi near Gangi. Our walk began from there.
