EU Cell Phone Service

So they have a single unified currency - why can’t they have a single unified cell service? Every time we come to the EU we struggle with the cell phone. What gives?! Get the Germans on it I say! 

Revision April 18, 2018; in Alcamo in 10 minutes we were able to add 10 GB to Christopher cell package. We think. We also think Italian gigabytes are smaller than Canadian gigabytes. Plus Christopher still cannot send or receive text messages.
