L’Oratorio delle Dame al Ponticello

Looking through a Palermo laneway, we were asked to take a vantage of this totally free opportunity. Ask by a very forceful sexy Italian lady of course. As it turned out it was a middle school class doing tours of this particular chapel as part of their class work. We were their first English visitors. I was so nervous for the students! Honestly, we did it thinking of our friend Angela who not only would have participated she would’ve corrected the students English I’m sure! The students were 11 to 13 years old, mostly girls and at least as nervous as I was for them. The chapel is currently run and maintained by the Rotary club of Palermo.

The internal garden was a Sicilian classic beautiful charming, full of mosquitoes and someone’s underwear was hanging out.
