Pisa Agrifiora (agricultural fair)
What an adventure we had! We were reminded about a trip to Cerda many years ago. Agricultural fairs are the same the world over.

Mercato Trieste
Today we tried a new market which only I had noticed. Chris it seems walked by many times in his missions to obtain cash (a ubiquitous necessity in Italy) but this was a first for me. Since we were in a hurry to catch our train for Pisa we didn’t look in every nook and cranny, but I think we might return. The only downside at this market there were more beggars - they looked like West African migrants ( for more on the Italian migrant story Google the Guardian’s coverage).

Frecciabianca to Pisa
After a lovely relaxed morning which started with coffee in bed, a lunch of clams and asparagus and Chianti - we hunted and gathered for a second lunch to eat on the train to Pisa. I chose the more expensive direct Freccia train. After last year we have decided that fast trains in Italy are our thing. We managed to get reasonably priced tickets and catch a bus from our neighbourhood to Roma termini.

Museo Capitline
It was our first time going to this museum, they were so much to see we only did a small part. If you go make sure you go to the top floor to the cafeteria and go outside for the view.
