Beets!

For the first time ever in my Riverdale garden I have succeeded in growing good sized beets. I put it down to the top dressing that I gave the whole garden early on in the season.

The garden beds have really thrived this year and I’ve been very pleased with the constant harvest I’ve had of peas lettuces and flowers.

I didn’t remember planting a beat blend, but that’s what it was. Bulls blood, cylindrical and Chioggia beets. They’re in the oven roasting right now.
