Nova Scotia House Progress Update
WooHoo! There is some positive progress!
Darrell has been able to make it a couple hours a week and move forward some of the drywall and plaster work in the suite upstairs.
Carl Cole (House Lifter has been back to drop the carriage house down onto the new concrete foundation. The building has also been backfilled and the church parking lot is beautifully finished. Next steps, rocks to keep the vehicles and plow back from our building, dig out the silt from inside the carriage house and replace with proper compacted crush gravel and insulation below the new concrete floor.
Our fabulous mason Ted Gillis is back and continues work on repairs to the brick portion of the foundation on the main house. The basement windows have now been replaced with modern windows with openers. A trench has been dug and water and electrical lines run out to the carriage house. Two of the worst corners have now been rebuilt and the mortar is being repointed.
