The ‘we’ in this is our excellent carpenter and generalist, Darryl. While he did all this work, we were tasked with getting rid of the debris. There’s no pics because the weather was snowy and windy. Suffice to say, the dump for construction materials was very hard to find and we had to do all the unloading. Icky. Nails, concrete, slippery plastic bags and paneling. All covered in snow.

Renovations: Pink Room, two steps forward one step back
We ended up taking all of the plaster off of the walls on the pink room after lots of labour trying to get the wallpaper off. It’s a learning process renovating/restoring an old home. The upside with this choice is that we can insulate the walls of the pink room so that it was nice and warm. Well as warm as you can get with our 20. Due to Covid and shipping disruptions it is impossible to get spray foam chemicals so other options are on the table including rigid Styrofoam and Roxul (type of bat insulation made with minerals?].
