1745 hrs Today
I took this pic today at 1745hrs. SINCE Sarah began working from home early in the Covid 19 crisis... she works many more hours than she used to when at the office. Though she theoretically has more flexibility to take the time she needs during each day for her post- concussion complications... it bothers Christopher significantly because her employer has treated her and others so poorly through the Covid crisis. Sarah works from home because Christopher is at high risk for Covid.
The bosses in the Department of Justice of Yukon have fought her the whole time... trying to force her back to an office where they refuse to make the space safe for employees. All in a small minded approach that bums in seats matter more than actual productivity. They make employees working from home waste time providing a report of thier activities each day. They have threatened firing employees for not returning to the office. Approvals to work from home are metered out and only happen at the last minute.
Contrast this to friends and relations who work for Canada and for the BC government. BC makes employees fill out forms to explain their reasons for coming into the office. Christopher's Brother Drew's boss told him to stop applying for time off to go to medical appointmentsand spend time with his family. Canada has sent most of its' employees home since the beginning of the pandemic and now anticipates that many will continue to work from home for good because thier productivity has remained.
The small minded approach of Sarrah's department and a couple of others in Yukon has caused significant stress for Sarah and for Chris by extension.
In addition, since she has worked from home... if it wasn't for the stress complications... Sarah has been sick WAAAY less than usual. This is because the culture at her office was and still is to come in when sick unless near death's door... spreading thier filth to others.
