Some toppings - coloured sugar and cranberries in icing sugar.
I have a cookie press that makes very pretty shapes when it is working well. It is a bit of a trial since all things must be optimal for it to work well.
Then I got it into my head to make Linzer cookies. The recipient said 50 minutes. It took me 4 hours! Again, the temperature had to be just right. Luckily it was below zero so I could chill the dough and pans relatively quickly.
They certainly look pretty. The broken one I shared with Chris tasted really good too.
