Trevi Fountain

Our first night in Rome and after a satisfying meals we headed towards Trevi fountain. Along the way we succumbed to gelato.

Lufthansa 1st class

I must say, our Lufthansa first class seats were the best ever. Huge amounts of room, 2 air stewards for 8 people. Meals, beverages, etc. Here's a few photos for just an idea.

We splurged on a taxi to get us and our small mountain of luggage into Rome.

Needle Felted Tea Cozy

A world famous quilt artist was in town recently - Sue Spargo. A friend got permission for me to have a look at some of the projects the artist had brought and I was really jazzed up about it. I'd been thinking for some time about a new tea cozy with some needle felted elements. Last night I sat down and made it.

Italy Travel Plans

I wonder if other travellers find the same frustrations as I do. Despite my best efforts I just discovered that our ferry tickets, already bought and paid for, are not actually tickets. The email reciept guarantees me the right to get a ticket from some random shopping mall outlet no where near the place where the ferry departs. WTF@#$#@$@#! As a gal at work observed; "don't whine, you are going to Italy".

Spring Walks

We have been having lovely weather here in the Yukon. We walked to my work Friday with our dog Isla, and Flash, grandma May's dog who was visiting from Carmacks.
