I remember having a lot of fun with my etch a sketch as a kid. Making a drawing and then shaking it so that you’d have another blank slate to draw on. There’s something about that physical memory that keeps coming back to me every time I check the weather forecast and it’s still below -25. I shake my phone as if that will somehow change the reality of this never-ending freezing cold winter.
