Dips
We were at a friend’s cabin over the weekend and the have a wood fired hot tub right beside a placid river. Lots of lovely hot and cod dips!
Evening Bekons
The days are shortening and our after work walks now take in the lovely light of evening.

Walking Training
Though Christopher is doing less walks because of feet troubles... we are still putting on kms training for our fall pilgrimage. Already Whitehorse has had zero or close to zero so we are getting some small patches of fall colour and there are less bugs!

Alpine Flowers in Haines Pass
All varieties of alpine flowers were in bloom, surprising this late in the year.
A bluebell in the lichen.
Some kind of sedum.
Monkshood with mountains.
Lingon berries galore! Also called crow berries. Edible but mostly water.
Yellow Indian paintbrush the same colour as Chris’ shirt.
Fireweed
Alpine Adventures Haines Pass
We were having great times this past week. We brought our mountain bikes to give us more access to certain trails. This trail in the Haines pass is just lovely. It leads to a lake, but sadly there isn’t a trail around the lake. So we sat by that lake and had lunch.
The trail head is in the worlds most picturesque gravel pit.

Dezadeash River Trial & geocache
We headed out to the Haines Junction Area for the second half of my week off. It’s always so beautiful ….
can I get I need a towel honey !
That’s what happened when we go back to the truck… Don’t leave your dictate on! The trail has quite a few swampy areas. Smelly.
Scapa scored a geocache and brought it to us.
Pretty cool?! We put it back where we think she found it.
