According to Yukon Energy, who is responsible for controlling the flow of the Yukon river here in Whitehorse and through the entire Southern Lakes. This is the maximum flow that can be allowed through the various control structures. If the let more water through here in Whitehorse (to reduce flooding in other parts of Yukon in the southern Lakes chain) the Marwell Industrial area would be underwater.
This is our little urban river trail that links Riverdale to Downtown.

A stretch of the trail has washed away.
The Sputhern Lakes represent a huge volume of water. These interconnected lakes have risen by metres in the heat of the last few weeks. Hello Climate Change.
