More Ottawa Adventures

We've enjoyed our visit to Ottawa, although the weather has recently been foul. Despite the weather, renting bikes was a great idea because it has allowed us to see lots more of Ottawa and take advantage of the wonderful new cycling infrastructure they've developed. We've been to the Arboretum, Chinatown, Little Italy and the newly tamed Wellington St. corridor. We've also been to the Byward Market, which has taken a down turn, looking distinctly shabby. Highlights have been the shopping at A Fine Thing Antiques on Somerset St. W., where the proprietor, Lucas gave us a great drinking/dining tip sending us to the Moon Room on Preston St. Lets just say they had hand carved ice for the drinks and that should give you an idea of how good it was.
