Our local cross country ski club has the most amazing trails and great grooming. They've also done a great job of improving trails for dog owners, so big hills are divided highways sort of thing. Even so, not all dogs are as great at heeling as Isla and one little dog almost derailed a rather fast downhill. Luckily my friend Lenore was fast on her feet and Isla got the dog party out of the way.
I also realize why no one believes she's a pure bred lab after seeing the short squat variety on the trail today. Isla ran circles around 'shorty'. She's resting up now for more fun tomorrow.
