Dyea; Wild Iris
Last evening we drove out to Dyea and we’re so glad we did! The wild Iris were in full bloom and looking spectacular in their mountainous setting.

Fresh off the wheel: ivory
The sheep’s name is ivory, as is her fleece. She’s living in Haines Junction, Yukon on a small farm there. She’s an Icelandic sheep, with a really lovely mostly homogeneous fleece rather than a strong double coated fleece.
I’ve wet finished the yarn with a light shock of hot to cold. It gave the yarn a nice bouncy finish.

Wheeler St. Improvements
Just a few pics of Christopher's with a little of what Christopher has been up to fixing up parts of the house and building flat pack furniture... sometimes with help from his friend Rod.
Fresh off the Wheel: Romeo
On my immediately prior visit to Olds in 2018 my friend Char and I found this lovely black ram’s fleece. I’ve named him Romeo. It is one of the most optically black fleece I’ve had in all my spinning years. The wool itself is oddly crispy, but not in an off putting way.
A nice bouncy yarn.
