  The salmon came with me from the Yukon, salad and bagels for today’s farmers market. 

Spring blooms & peepers!

The bees absolutely love this strange willow. If you are quiet, you can hear their busy hum. 

This stellata magnolia in the historic gardens is stunning and has the most divine fragrance. 


I have no photos of peepers, because they are a small innocuous brown frog. Their glory is in their song which lasts through the spring nights. 

Clean porch!

The kitchen entrance on the west side of the house has been a dumping ground for stuff for three years. Today that stuff found homes or went to the curb. The dog approves!

The scent of violets

The sun has finally come out and I can smell the delicious scent of violets. It brings me back to my childhood and a little bottle of violet perfume… and my travels in the Toulouse area of France where violets become liquor… 

Happiness

Well it’s true that money can’t buy happiness it can buy a hydrangea! And that makes me happy.
