Post Dorian We have power!

All is well we have powe finally 

Nova Scotia Still No power

Here we are three days post storm, three beautiful days, and the best geography of Nova Scotia is without power. There is power in the main centres of Halifax Dartmouth spotilly, The rest of the province is without.

We got up early and went to this lovely farmers market before the major parts of hurricane Dorian hit. And I am so glad we did the harvest hall we brought in has been feeding us ever since.

Hurricane Dorian - Doing Ok!

Good times! The power is out, but we are snug and safe, have just consumed delicious lobster accompanied by lovely wine. Books to read and more wine to follow. Hurricane Schmurricane.

Nautical Seafoods in Parker’s Cove. Delicious. The fine folks there also sold us a pair of lobsters and steamed ‘em for us while we ate. So, more lobster to come. 

(Temporary Backup) Mahone Bay to Lunenburg on the rum runners trail

The local rail line was shut down eaons ago. Recently it wa transformed into a multi use tail that runs from just outside of Halifax to Lunenburg. We cycled a small portion from Mahone Bay to Lunenburg and back. A lovely afternoon’s occupation. 

I had to buy a backpack for the trip. I quite like it. Chris’ Convenience in MAhone Bay is just like the Tardis. Stop in if you need anything. Sweet Ride Cycling in MAhone Bay were lovely and set us up with a nice pair of bikes. I was so glad to have their local knowledge as they set me up with a fat tire bike which was perfect for the sandy stretches of trial.
