Summer Saturday mornings I love to get on my bike and go check out the local yard sales. It's even more fun when friends come along. Today my mission parameters were a salad spinner and advise and I got 'em! I also got another vintage suitcase for my little handspun yarn business. Or use the vintage suitcases both to transport the arm and then to display it makes it very fast set up and take down my display.

Strawberries for Breakfast

Each year when the strawberries arrive in my small garden bed I put up with the rash they give me to enjoy their flavour. Nothing tastes the way the sun ripened strawberry does. 

Haines Garden Tour

Part of the Southeast Alaska State fair was a garden tour that you could sign up for. Me and a couple of friends went and it was really quite enjoyable. We saw a private garden with an orchard on a Permaculture system with a bunch of cute ducks. Then on to FoundRoot, a young couple who are growing Alaska seeds. Our last stop was at a cooperative garden in Henderson corner.
