with the long twilight we get gorgeous alpenglow on the mountains. It inspired me to find a cocktail recipe to go with it. I did and it is delicious.
2oz bourbon
.5 oz lemon juice
.5 oz maple syrup
Dash bitters - I used my home made balsamic tip bitters.
Chill glass. Shake ingredients with ice until chilled. Strain into chilled glass over ice. Enjoy.
during our long twilight we have the opportunity to watch the local ravens dance and play. They love the south wind - as it hits the clay cliffs it provides a river of air they play in.
I took most of these without zoom - the ravens are so close you can almost touch them. At times they come in and tag out black dog, as if to say; ‘can you fly?’
the sun has been rising for the last half hour- the pink blush on the snow doesn’t really appear in the photo, but it is there.
it’s been a predictive few weeks here in Whitehorse. Between chopping wood working and other tasks daily life I’ve been finishing up some quilting projects. And starting new ones, of course.
