Apple Blossom Spring

Rare and Unusual Plant Sale

This event has been in our diary for months now. We arrive just before the opening.

It was very busy!

We had a good time and didn’t buy too much!

Arriving home with our haul.

One of the special plants.

Colour Coordinated Cat

He’s exactly the same colour as the sheep fleece that we put on the chair. He blends right in.

May Blossoms

Walking the dog today I saw so many blooms.

Croziers of the new year’s ferns.

Church Fleas: Textiles and Mother’s Day

It was Mother’s Day weekend and the Church behind our house had a flea market, a vide grenier, a car boot sale. My mum was a wonderfully terrible enabler on the linens front. She really enjoyed looking at it all and was certain the the stains would come out! We didn’t take a before, and we should have! Here’s an after on the line

And on the table

And freshly pressed.

Dedication to the table linens!

Mulching the Garden Part 2

Having COVID is really setting us back on our spring garden chores. We do a little and then have to rest and nap. But we did do some!

This is the little piece of garden closest to the kitchen door. In the centre is a twisted hazel with red foliage. We are eager to see it leaf out.

Our neighbours dog, Una, kept us company.

And my Camellia is blooming!
