Saturday Farmer's Market

It is apparent that...

1.) We missed the Annapolis Royal Saturday Farmer's Market's very much the last two weekends, and

2.) We both thought we needed more fruit and veggies after our holiday in Cape Breton

Scott’s Bay Beach: Great Egret

Chris and I went for a beach walk. 

Chris spotted this egret in the March behind the beach.

Tea and Fog

A nice morning back in the valley. We are stopping our journey here on Blomidon. There’s cows in the back yard of the BnB. 

And there’s Blomidon. 

Gull Point Trail

All the rain lately made this a very mucky hike. We turned around after about half an hour of soggy feet. 

Chris in particular has an aversion to wet feet. I was more or less ok, but I’m glad we turned back or I think my feet would not be in such great shape.

There were some cool sights. A snake, a frog and some pitcher plants in flower.

Gabarus Beach Day

It was a perfect day to spend some time on the beach. And I ducked into the water twice. Very therapeutic. 

Scapa enjoyed some quality sand time too.

On leaving the fortress we walked the dog and looked back.

A beach day! 

We got a little get away in Cape Breton just uphill from a beach. Sigh. Lovely. Sunny breaks. 

The colours of the sea wrack and cobbles were just perfect in the morning light. 

The clouds came. 

Chris covers an old school lobster trap for the yard. This one was pretty intact and this too heavy with the concrete weights in it.

I had cut some flowers yesterday but not enough! I had to work until 9pm and it was dark and tired.

Kitty Cat Visitor

We are fostering a young male Tabby Cat who was named Gregory and we have dubbed Gris Gris.  Phonetically spelled Gree Gree for those who have forgotten ALL of your elementary school French.

Planting Up the Garden

We put in some more plants along the driveway today. Satisfying.
