Beach Day!

So cold! We chose one of the coldest weekends this winter to have a little holiday. We took the dog to the beach. 

All bundled up. We got ice cream eyeball and nose aches from the cold wind in our faces. 

Scapa loved it - no issues with the cold. 

The tide was out. 


A long way here in the bay of fundy. 

Filthy dog is a happy dog.

We did a fun winter wine tasting at Benjamin Bridge. Fire by the river and wine. I’m making an ice glass with our hostess. 

Frost Ferns

At our Airbnb, the single pane windows develop frost ferns overnight. Some thing I remember fondly from my childhood. But which we don’t see now that we have double glazing, which keeps the house a lot warmer, I will say. 

Holiday Up The Valley...

We are taking a short holiday up the Valley in the Gaspereau Wolfville area. We hit the Annapolis Winter Farmer's Market in the AM... then travelled up the Annapolis Valley to Canning to check out an antique store that our friends recommended. We checked into our airbnb in the Gaspereau Valley on a cold night in Nova Scotia...

Seedy Saturday

Today was CD Saturday at the Annapolis Winter farmers market. There’s a wonderful diverse group of seed savers and see the sellers around the Annapolis valley. I probably coloured a lot inside the lines, but it’s just so lovely to see so many seeds that can bring such joy is colour to the garden.
