A member of our guild who was also a friend died suddenly this winter. Her husband brought her stash to the guild to donate for our annual de-stash auction. There was so much, it ended up going over two meetings.
I was very pleased to be able to get a few of her unfinished projects to finish. She was a really good knitter and had a good eye for colour. These baby socks were so close to done I adopted them and have already gifted them to a baby.


Then there’s 2 pairs of mittens. This one:

The red ones turn out not to be knitted. They are Norwegian twined knitting. I don’t know how to do that! I guess I’ll have to learn.
