Autumn Walk
My morning walk to work was particularly lovely this morning after a day of rain. There was snow up in the alpine.

Late Harvest
As you leaders will know Chris and I were away the first two weeks of September this year. That’s usually when I harvest our crab apples and turn them into jelly. Delete harvest is making what looks to be an exceptional jelly. Something to consider for next year.

Climate Change
It is real the evidence is all around us. I just ate raspberries from my garden and the sunflowers are still blooming. In a normal year we’d have had a killing frost by now.

Carrot!
OMG look what I got from the garden tonight!
That’s a quarter. For scale.
The dog was excited about the opportunity to gnaw it down to size.

Autumnal Walk to Work
I walk to work as part of my concussion management regime. This morning was just lovely. You can’t see it in the photo but there was alpenglow on the mountain. Beautiful.
Skagway for Dinner
Bruce and Alison came up in a cruise and we drove down from Whitehorse to have dinner with them. A lovely visit and a beautiful drive.
Meeting family in the Strangest of Places
Sarah's generous boss Peter allowed her to take the afternoon off yesterday (despite just getting back from visiting Sarah's family in Nova Scotia)so we could do the 2hr drive to Skagway Alaska to meet Dad and Ali. They were partway on thier Alaskan Cruise.

‘Shopping’ Mom’s Collection
This visit to Nova Scotia was the first for many years. Mom has most certainly decided it is time to get rid of some stuff and she let me take some pieces I or Chris liked. Here’s a few...
Apparently used for making sourcraut - an ulu and lovely carved wooden bowl. The bowl got its first workout last night.
A couple silver pieces - I love the ‘high/low’ of the cabbage in the silver bowl.
I remember this lighter from my childhood. Mom offered to put lighter fluid in it, but since we were flying I thought better if it!

There are more small pieces not yet unpacked.
Ive always thought of Moms apartment as a branch tunnel of Aladdin’s cave.

It's A Big Country...
Only partway through the journey... currently sitting on the plane in the Toronto airport. Sure wish we had this plane and these seats on the red eye when we went to Nova Scotia. Sure hope Boeing picks thier socks back up 'cause Airbus and the other options suck in our experience.
Pearson Airport Sparrow
According to one of the staff sparrow is part of the generation that seems to just live here.
