It is an annual tradition here in Whitehorse to celebrate the coming spring (notice I didn't say the coming of spring) by a torchlight parade and a burning effigy. This year I didn't do the parade, but arrived just before they did using a foot bridge.

The Burning.... the effigy was a sort of cross between a dragon, a demon and babba yaga this year. ... And there were knights fighting. Go figure. I think it was a sort of Game of Thrones theme...
