Fish Camp

We spent a wonderful weekend with Christopher's adopted First Nation Grandma May and her family at fish camp near Carmacks, Yukon.  We had visitors -  canoeists from Germany and Japan.  Pretty serious tourist attraction!

When we got back from Atlin, the gardens had just been going gangbusters. Our wonderful neighbours had made sure everything was watered, and a young man from down the street mowed for us. You can't expect friends and neighbours to weed, so I had a job ahead of me when we got back.

Spinning on The Wharf

Sarah spent several hours demonstrating her spinning prowess on the Whitehorse 'wharf' today.

A great time was had apparently because when I tried to pick her up at the specified time... she had two kids and their Mom surrounding her.  The Mom suggested Sarah should do parties for children!

Atlin Lake Houseboating

We spent an idyllic week slowly travelling around Atlin Lake on a houseboat with friends. Each night, we'd cozy up to a sandbar, have a fire and relax. At the outset we had a whole flotilla of friends in their motor boats which made for some fun times around the fire.
